THE PATH

The main course is built around making a 140 BPM UK trap track, but BDSA is about much more than one sound. The techniques carry across trap, drill, grime, UK rap and newer underground styles, and the Genre Upgrade Packs go deeper into what actually makes each one feel different.

The idea isn’t to give you one formula to copy. It’s to help you understand the music properly, make better choices, and start developing a sound that feels like your own.

You won’t just watch us make a track. You’ll make one too.

Students build their own track throughout the programme. By the end, they have taken it from a blank project to a finished track.

Finish it. Send it to Big Dirtee Records.

Submit your finished track through the Big Dirtee Records demo portal and the Big Dirtee Records A&R team will listen and give you feedback on what you’ve made. This is not a prize, draw or selected-student perk. Every student who submits a finished track gets A&R feedback.

Built with Dizzee.Taught by EXPERTS

Big Dirtee Sound Academy started with a simple idea: if you are going to teach people how this music is made, get the people who actually make it to teach them.

Dizzee Rascal has helped shape the curriculum and philosophy of the academy. Alongside him, students will learn from leading producers, artists and industry figures with direct experience in the genres they are teaching.
